Womens Health and Family Services partnership with the WA Community Resource Network
Community Resource Centres are friendly, locally owned and operated centres that provide regional communities and their visitors with access to technology, information and services. Womens Health and Family Services provides support to these centres and the local community through a quarterly newsletter that provides updates on program activities, a calendar of community workshops and professional training and information on the program’s progress.
The Rural in Reach Program is also committed to supporting the development of Community Resource Centres as community hubs that can link people with the right service, at the right time. This means:
- Greater access to specialist health services and community education
- Increased training and support for local workers and agencies.
- Improved collaboration between local services and specialist health and well being services.
